Dr. Amanda Kumar received her MD from Johns Hopkins, completed anesthesiology residency at Stanford, and fellowship in regional anesthesiology at Duke. She is an Associate Professor at Duke, program director of the RAAPM fellowship, GME simulation liaison for Duke's Human Simulation and Patient Safety Center, and is a part of Duke's perioperative leadership group. Her clinical and research interests are in regional anesthesiology and medical education. Nationally, she has been recognized as an associate member of AUA, associate faculty for ASRA, and subcommittee member for ASA.
