Dr. Ellen Soffin is Vice Chief of Clinical Affairs and Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at Hospital for Special Surgery. Dr. Soffin’s clinical interests include anesthesia for complex spine surgery, emphasizing applications of regional anesthesia and analgesia to the spine surgery patient. Her research interests include the evaluation of novel field and fascial plane blocks for complex spine surgery, enhanced recovery pathways for orthopedic surgery, and regulatory, institutional, and clinical strategies for creating and evaluating opioid stewardship programs.
