Eric Schwenk, MD, is a professor of anesthesiology and perioperative medicine at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA, where he is director of the acute pain management service. His interests are ketamine in acute pain, outcomes in orthopedic surgery, and chronic postsurgical pain. He is a member of the guidelines and regulatory advocacy committee of ASRA Pain Medicine and editor for Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine. He enjoys mentoring the next generation of regional anesthesiologists and acute pain physicians.
